    • All food is prepared in a registered and approved kitchen space under the Boroondara Council.

    • We follow strict hygiene protocols including the use of gloves, hair coverings, and sanitation procedures during all food handling and preparation.

    • Allergen management is taken seriously. We confirm dietary requirements prior to all bookings and label items clearly where relevant. However, as all items are prepared in the same facility, cross-contamination cannot be completely eliminated.

    • Cold and hot items are transported using appropriate insulated containers with ice packs or heat-retaining equipment to maintain safe food temperatures.

    • Our kitchen, utensils, and surfaces are sanitised before and after every use with food-safe cleaning agents.

    • Staff complete a Pre-Clean and Post-Clean Checklist for each preparation day to ensure consistent cleanliness standards.

    • All reusable serving ware and picnic equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between each booking.

    • All picnic setups, tables, and décor are checked prior to each event to ensure they are clean, functional, and free from damage.

    • Setup locations are chosen with client input and assessed for safety, including shade, terrain, and distance from hazards (e.g. roads, waterways).

    • Wet weather policies ensure no setups are assembled in hazardous outdoor conditions.

    • Staff must not attend work if feeling unwell or exhibiting symptoms of illness.

    • All team members are trained in basic food safety and hygiene, with senior staff holding valid Food Safety Supervisor certificates.

    • Staff maintain professional conduct and ensure safe handling of food and equipment at all events.

    • We continue to follow current public health recommendations including hand hygiene, equipment sanitation, and distancing where required.

    • Disposable utensils and single-serve packaging are available upon request.

    • Contactless delivery, pickup, and payment options are available for all products and services.

    • Any accidents, injuries, or food-related concerns are documented and reported in accordance with our internal policies and local council requirements.

    • Clients are encouraged to notify us immediately of any issues so we can resolve them promptly.
